I love taking my dog to this store the workers are always upbeat and friendly. The animals appear to be very well cared for and the store is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. I would give them more stars if I could. We will definitely be returning.
This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had! My daughters worked hard all year long to earn a guinea pig, when we finally got her and brought her home we got 5 days in and she had three babies! After it was all said and done the mother became very angry and agitated. I attempted to contact PetLand and was told I could surrender the animals and they would be resold to a new family. I have also attempted multiple times to get in touch with someone from the corporate office and my emails have gone unanswered. I think its a shame that places like petland pretend to give a damn until an animal doesn't work out and then its just seen as cash!
They sell animals here, so you can stop in see and pet them. They're all terribly expensive though, and they are pet shop animals (can't recommend supporting it by buying pets at them). Sell pet supplies though, so they do have reason to come if you need pet supplies. Food seems more expensive here, but not bad for pet accessories like leashes, cages, etc.
I don't know how many times I have waited at the counter to get checked out even made contact with the employees and 5 plus minutes later someone comes to help. I have also been interested in getting some reptiles from them and no one knows what they are talking about. They have labeled a milk snake "cornsnake" and when I confronted them about it they said it's just a different type of morph. Couple weeks ago they had a ball python that was so badly dehydrated he was nearly dead when I picked him up.
Place is really good to navigate if you're disabled. Plenty of room to get around and clean, clear aisles.
My husband and i went in to look around. There was a beautiful African Grey. I wanted to see him but the worker was standing about 5 feet from us texting. We were not greeted nor acknowledged until i finally asked if we could see the African Grey. She hesitated for just a second and said yes. She opened cage up and stepped aside. I guess I was taking him out? Okay. Put my hand in cage and the AG goes nuts. The employee tells me just grab him and put him on the top cage. I was curious why she didn't when the AG launched over and bit me taking a large chunk out of my knuckle. THEN the employee says yeah he really doesn't like anyone except one worker here. UMMMM...that would have been nice to know before I had a large chunk of skin taken out of my knuckle. Walking away with a bleeding knuckle she asks if i needed a bandaid. I realize they want to sell this bird, but letting potential customers get bit is not the best way to go about that.
